Opposite new years resolutions.

I was sort of planning to do this originally, but I couldn't quite be bothered thinking about it in these terms on New Years Day. Anyway, I watched some animation about new years resolutions, and I'm not sure why I'm wibbling on about this I'm just going to get on with it. Basically, if I thought about change in a negative way, rather than a positive way (Do you want to stay fat? Rather than, don't you want to be thin?) whould this be a better motivator for change? I think stick might be a better motivator than carrot in this respect. So yeah, without further ado, here they are, my new years revolutions, in negative terms;

In 2014 I am not going to:
1. Laze about, doing only what is necessary to keep your job, and not pushing yourself to improve and learn new skills.
2. Stay in lounging about on the internet and watching rubbish on TV
3. Consume internet drivel constantly and incessantly.
4. Stay completely weak and flabby.
5. Eat ready meals and bags of crisps for tea.
6. Keep getting pissed as the only way of enjoying yourself
7. Solely hang around with the old school gang and never get out of your comfort zone.
8. Watch loads more pornography
9. Play too much of the Xbox, as this is not the only way of unwinding.
10. Faff about wasting time like I have done today with this drivel.
*bonus* 11. Let my violin gather dust.

There that should do it, although I'm not sure what that is.

Tom, for some reason, I can't comment on your 13 August post so I'm commenting on this one instead.

I am having the exact same approaching-30 crisis! On 30 July I wrote in a private post, "7 years ago, I was 21, leaving university and my whole adult life was ahead of me. The life I chose was to be a school teacher who moved back to her home town and married another school teacher. I realise now that I chose for myself the life I thought I should be living, the life I thought was right, rather than the life I actually wanted."

We need to meet up! I'm inviting myself round to your place. I need to hear about New York.

Hey Hol,

I kind of worked myself up into a bit of a state. It's grim. I think I'm slowly turning into George Costanza. I don't know how to stop it either. Text me if you fancy meeting up.
