End of year quiz thingy, again. Let's hope Y2kX can and will fulfil all our wildest dreams!

1. What did you do in 2009 that you'd never done before?
Not much I don’t think. I passed my driving test. Everything else was just more of the same.

2. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Yeah I did, kind of. I learned to drive, Started listening to electro and contemporary classical, and got a better job. When you put it like that it’s been an ok year.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?

4. What countries did you visit?
None, I stayed in England the whole year.

5. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?
More money.

6. What date from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Nothing stands out really.

7. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
New job and escaping from call centre hell.

8. What was your biggest failure?
The fact my new job has resulted in a mass of new neurosis, and not contentment. And that I earn such a pitiful amount.

9. Did you suffer illness or injury?

10. What were the best things you bought?
Again, nothing. I live like a nihilistic monk

11. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
I don’t know. It’s been a busy year. The scientists who got the LHC working again are alright in my book.
12. Whose behaviour appalled you?
Otis Ferry. Ha.

13 Where did most of your money go?
God knows. Behind various bar in and around Manchester I think. I bought a new camera which I haven’t really had a chance to play with properly yet.

14. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
The new job. I’m supposed to be moving out as well, but we’ll see.

15. What song will always remind you of 2009?
Boys Noize cover of my moon my man.

16. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder?
I don’t know, probably about the same.

ii. thinner or fatter?
About the same.

iii. richer or poorer?
Poorer ;_;

17. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Seeing my uni friends as they’ve all buggered off to opposite ends of the country.

18. What do you wish you'd done less of?

19. How will you be spending Christmas?
With my parents.

20. Did you fall in love in 2009
This is open to debate.

21. What was your favourite TV program?
I was hooked by School of Saatchi. I like the usual Charlie Brooker stuff too.

22. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?

23. What was the best book you read?
I honestly can’t remember. I’d like to read more this year.

24. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Boys Noize

25. What did you want and get?
To learn to drive. A driving license

26. What did you want and not get?
More money

27. What was your favourite film of this year?
Moon, or Synecdoche, New York. Both were pretty awesome. I still listen to the Moon Soundtrack.

28. What did you do on your birthday?
I arranged all my friends to come to Manchester and we had a right good knees up. This year I can barely be arsed doing anything.

29. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
I don’t want to sound like a broken record but, more money.

30. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2009?
Brown Cords.

31. What kept you sane?

32. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Katy Perry is pretty hot. I don’t know if this is a good thing or not.

33. What political issue stirred you the most?
The banking crisis. The fact that so many people are paid ridiculous sums for what amounts to gambling is sickening.

34. Who did you miss?
My friends.

35. Who was the best new person you met?
Simon, the photography teacher at work

36. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2009.
Something to do with Call of Duty modern warfare 2.
